We stayed at Le Lion D'Or for two nights during our road trip. Marc, the owner/chef, warmly welcomed us and personally checked us in. The menu in the restaurant was incredible - from the delicious goats cheese appetizers to the mouthwatering duck main course and delectable desserts. The saffron syrup kir and chilled rose were perfect compliments. Our air conditioned room overlooked the square and provided a comfortable retreat from the heat. Breakfast was delightful with artisan jams, fresh yogurt, and a heavenly mini pain perdu. Highly recommend for an authentic French village experience.

Nothing it was perfect.

We had a fantastic romantic escape in a charming hotel. The room was comfortable and mostly quiet, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The friendly staff made us feel like locals and gave us great recommendations for exploring the beautiful surrounding villages. The location was excellent, with easy access to the stunning Rocamadour and other nearby attractions.

The bathroom was a little cramped and could use some updating. The high bath/shower was a bit difficult for us, especially for our age.

Spent my Christmas break in a quaint French hotel nestled in a charming town. The room was serene and had a cozy atmosphere, the beds were comfortable, and the location was a stone’s throw from authentic local shops and cafes. One of the highlights was the friendly and approachable staff, who made us feel like we were part of the community.

The low water pressure in the shower was a downside, but the small bathroom layout could have done with an update. , certain times during breakfast, the dining area could get a little crowded as the hotel was fully booked.
